Dr. Daniel Rychlik

MD, FACOG

Dr. Dan is board-certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Obstetrics and Gynecology, with a focus on Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and premature ovarian failure. He has over a decade of experience helping clients achieve their dreams of building a family.

He received his BA and MD at the University of Illinois, where he also completed his residency. He completed a fellowship at the University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine.

Dr. Rychlik taught the next generation of doctors at his alma mater, the University of Illinois, and at the University of Arizona. During his time in Arizona, Dr. Rychlik served as the President and Medical Director of Fertility Centers of Arizona. Later on, he was the Clinical Director at Partners for Fertility and IVF in Virginia.

Dr. Rychlik has continuously worked with the American Society of Reproductive Medicine and the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health. He is the proud recipient of the following awards:

Barry R. Behr's photo

Barry R. Behr

PhD, HCLD

Professor Behr graduated from University of Nevada-Reno with honors and earned his Ph.D. with emphasis in Reproductive Physiology in 1991, board certified as High Complexity Laboratory Director in 1994, and board certified as Embryology Laboratory Director in 2003.

He is a nationally and internationally renowned clinical and scientific leader in the research and advances of human reproduction. As a world-renown scientist and lecturer, he is highly sought after to chair scientific programs and conferences, is the first non MD President of the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society and has been appointed as program chairman of several professional meetings. Dr. Behr was the former President of the American Association for Bioanalysts for 2015-2016. He is the director of the IVF/ART laboratory at Stanford University and is the Faculty Advisor for the Transgenic, Knockout and Tumor Model Center.

In the 90’s Dr. Behr developed a culture medium for embryo culture to the blastocyst stage, which has improved pregnancy rates, implantation rates and reduced the risks of multiple gestation in IVF. He was also the co-inventor of an embryo selection technology that was featured in Time Magazine's Best of Everything as 8th place in the top 10 Medical Breakthroughs of 2010. Dr. Behr has been widely recognized for his research nationally and internationally. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters.

Allison has been a Registered Nurse for 3.5 years and started her journey in fertility when she moved to California. She has a bachelor’s degree in nursing as well as Biology. She is a mother of 2 boys and a military wife. Allison has gone through her own fertility treatment in the past. She understands the joys, the pregnancy losses, as well as the hardships of fertility treatment.

She works tirelessly to make sure that you feel comfortable with your treatment plan as well as the components of our Third-Party Program. Her goal and passion are to give her patients hope and helping them expand their family when nature tells them otherwise.

Meghan, is your main point of contact at Thread Fertility. She takes the time to get to know you individually and makes sure that you get the personalized care that you deserve. She can answer any of your questions about lab tests, procedures, finances, and everything in between. Her goal is to make sure you are comfortable, confident, and empowered with information.

She has worked as a patient coordinator and practice manager for over 10 years. She’s a mom to three wonderful girls.

IVF coordinator

Betty works to make sure you understand all the components of your IVF treatment, like how to take your medicines and what each procedure will be like. Her favorite part of her job is sending patients to their OB/GYN and meeting her patients’ babies.

Betty has gone through her own IVF journey in the past. She knows exactly what her patients go through, both the joys, the pregnancy losses and the hardships of fertility treatment. She is a mom to two boys and a girl.

Your ultrasound technician at Thread Fertility has over 23 years of experience in medicine. Before coming to the United States and receiving her RDMS license (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer), Olesya worked as a pediatrician in the Ukraine.

As a technician, Olesya will perform ultrasounds and assist Dr. Rychlik in your procedures. She has worked with Dr. Rychlik for over 5 years. Her favorite part of her job is creating relationships with patients, hearing the first heartbeat on patients’ ultrasounds, and meeting patients’ babies.

Business Development Liaison

Helen Lu received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of California, San Francisco and was trained in one of the most prestigious medical nursing programs in the nation. She underwent an extension and rigorous Internship program at UCSF and became an ICU/trauma nurse in the Department of Neurosurgery from 2005 to 2010.

Upon finishing her internship, Helen worked as an In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) third party coordinator at an IVF clinic in Beverly Hills for 2 years. Throughout these two years, she worked side by side with the nation's top ten IVF doctors and achieved proficiency with the most up-to-date medical technology, innovations, and the most advanced surgical skills in fertility treatment. Her passion for fertility treatment led to her dedicated work at HRC Fertility in Pasadena, which is one of the largest and state- of- the- art fertility clinics in the nation. She has collaborated with IP, surrogates and donors, working with clients all over the world. Helen is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

With Helen's extensive knowledge and training in the medical field, she is able to prescreen all of our donors and surrogates before their acceptance into the agency to ensure the quality of our clients. In addition, it will save our clients' time, energy and the costs of unnecessary tests. Helen will provide free consultation for any first-time donor/surrogate and guide them through the process as smoothly as possible.
